Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 October 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Cordi mobile app and the Cordi marketing website (together, the "Service"), operated by Morodo Limited (trading as "Cordi"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 11925189, registered office Demsa Accounts, 565 Green Lanes, Haringey, London, England, N8 0RL ("Cordi," "we," "us").
By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.
These Terms are for Customers — people who use the Cordi app to collect stamps and rewards at participating shops — and for visitors to our website. Businesses that run a loyalty program on Cordi ("Shops") agree to the separate Cordi Business Terms, which govern their use of the Cordi business portal. These Terms are organised as follows:
- Part A (Sections 1–5) — using Cordi;
- Part B (Sections 6–7) — stamps, rewards and shops;
- Part C (Sections 8–17) — general terms.
Part A — Using Cordi
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Cordi. If you are under 18, you confirm you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.
2. Your account
- One person, one account. Each Customer may hold only one Cordi account. Your account is personal to you: you may not sell, transfer or share it, or the stamps and rewards on it.
- Accurate information. You agree to give accurate information when you create your account, and to keep it up to date. When you sign up, we send a code to your email address to confirm it is yours.
- Keep your password safe. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you think someone else has accessed your account.
3. What Cordi is
Cordi is a digital loyalty-card platform:
- Shops set up a loyalty card for their business (how many stamps are needed and what the reward is), keep a Cordi NFC tag at their shop (with a matching QR code for phones that can't read NFC), and can publish promotions to their customers and offer an optional birthday gift.
- Customers collect a digital stamp by tapping the shop's NFC tag with the Cordi app while at the shop (or, if their phone can't read NFC, by scanning the shop's QR code), and redeem the shop's reward in the app at the shop's counter once they have collected enough stamps.
Cordi provides the technology that connects the two. Cordi does not sell any product, and is not the provider of any reward, discount, gift or offer. Each one is provided by the shop that offers it (see Sections 6.1 and 7).
We only offer the features actually available in the Service at any given time. Features described in our marketing materials as planned or in development are not part of the Service until they are released.
Cordi is free for Customers.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Collect, or try to collect, a stamp, reward or birthday gift you have not genuinely earned — including without being physically present at the shop, without making the purchase the shop's program requires, or by falsifying, spoofing or otherwise manipulating your device's location or the QR/NFC verification;
- Copy, photograph, share or reproduce a shop's Cordi QR code or NFC tag so that it can be used away from the shop;
- Create more than one account, or use other people's accounts, to get extra rewards, gifts or offers, or to get around any limit in the Service;
- Use the Service for any fraudulent, unlawful, harassing, defamatory, discriminatory or abusive purpose;
- Impersonate any person or business, or falsely suggest you are connected with Cordi or with a shop;
- Access, or try to access, another user's account or data without authorization;
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by introducing viruses or other harmful code, overloading it, or using bots, scrapers or other automated means to access it or extract data from it without our written permission;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except as permitted by law.
If you breach this Section, we may take the action described in Section 11.
5. Your device
To use the Cordi app you need a compatible smartphone with an internet connection, location services, and either NFC (to tap a shop's tag) or a camera (to scan its QR code). You are responsible for your device, its settings and any mobile data charges. Some features may not work on every device.
Part B — Stamps, rewards and shops
6. Collecting and redeeming
6.1 Rewards are provided by the shop, not by Cordi
Each shop independently designs its own loyalty program and is solely responsible for honoring the rewards, birthday gifts and promotions it offers. Cordi is not a party to, and does not guarantee, any reward, discount, item or offer. Rewards and offers are subject to the shop's own conditions and availability — for example, which purchases count, and whether a reward can be combined with other discounts. If a shop does not honor a reward you have legitimately earned, see Section 6.10.
6.2 Collecting stamps
- You collect a stamp by tapping the shop's Cordi NFC tag with the app while you are at the shop, at the time of your purchase. If your phone can't read NFC, scan the shop's Cordi QR code instead.
- Each shop decides which purchases earn a stamp. Unless the shop tells you otherwise, it is one stamp per qualifying purchase. Staff may refuse a stamp, or ask you not to collect one, if the purchase does not qualify.
- The app checks your device's location at the moment you collect, and you must be within approximately 200 meters of the shop. You need to allow location access for this, as described in our Privacy Policy. A shop that has not yet set its location cannot give stamps.
- To prevent misuse, Cordi limits how often a stamp can be collected at the same shop, and each shop sets a maximum number of stamps you can collect there in any 24 hours.
- Stamps are specific to the shop where you collected them. They cannot be moved to, combined with or used at another shop — including another branch of the same business, unless the business tells you otherwise.
6.3 Redeeming rewards
- When you have collected the number of stamps the shop's card requires, your reward is ready to redeem at that shop.
- To redeem, go to the shop's counter, open the shop's card in the app, tap Redeem and confirm.
- When you confirm, the app checks your device's location: you must be within approximately 200 meters of the shop, and you need to allow location access and have an internet connection. A shop that has not yet set its location cannot accept redemptions.
- Your reward is redeemed the moment you confirm, and this cannot be reversed, so only confirm at the counter when you are ready to receive it. Any stamps you collected beyond the number required stay on your card and count towards your next reward.
- After you confirm, the app shows a redemption screen for about 60 seconds, with a live clock and a short code. Show it to staff — they may ask to tap it to check it. Staff may refuse to hand over a reward without seeing this screen, so close it only once you have your reward. The reward counts as redeemed even if the screen is closed early or runs out, and the screen cannot be shown again. If something goes wrong, see Section 6.10.
6.4 Birthday gift
Some shops offer a birthday gift. If you have added your birthday to your account, you can claim each participating business's gift once per birthday, in store, from 7 days before to 7 days after your birthday, provided that:
- your birthday has been on your account for at least 30 days; and
- you have collected at least one stamp at that business on an earlier day.
You claim the gift by tapping the shop's NFC tag at the shop (or scanning its QR code if your phone can't read NFC), and showing the confirmation screen to staff. A business with several branches offers one gift across all of them. Claiming a gift does not use or give any stamps.
Your birthday cannot be changed in the app once set, so please enter it carefully. If you made a mistake, contact us. Giving a false birthday to obtain a gift is a breach of Section 4.
6.5 Promotions
Shops you have a loyalty card with may publish promotions to you. Promotions are shown inside the Cordi app only; Cordi does not send push notifications, emails or text messages on behalf of shops. A promotion is subject to the shop's own conditions, may be targeted at some of a shop's customers only (for example customers who have not visited for a while), and may be withdrawn by the shop at any time.
6.6 Stamps have no cash value
Stamps, rewards and birthday gifts have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for money, sold, or transferred to anyone else, and they are not protected by any deposit or compensation scheme.
6.7 If a shop changes or leaves its program
- A shop may change its loyalty card — for example the number of stamps required or the reward. Stamps you have already collected stay on your card, but the reward and the number of stamps needed follow the shop's current card.
- New shops appear on the Discover map once we have approved them. A shop's listing may be deactivated (for example under Section 11.2). While that is the case you may not be able to collect stamps or redeem rewards at that shop.
- If a shop leaves Cordi or its shop account is closed, its loyalty card — including your stamps and any unredeemed rewards at that shop — is deleted from Cordi. Shops agree to give their customers notice and to honor rewards that are already ready (see Section 7), but Cordi does not guarantee that a shop will do so, and the shop may, at its discretion, offer you something in its place.
6.8 Lost or stolen phone
Your stamps are stored in your Cordi account, not on your phone. If your phone is lost, stolen or replaced, sign in on another device to get them back. Treat your rewards like cash in your wallet: we are not responsible for stamps or rewards used by someone who accessed your account using your sign-in details, unless that was caused by our failure to keep the Service secure.
6.9 Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account), or by emailing us, as described in our Privacy Policy (Section 12). Deleting your account permanently deletes all your loyalty cards, stamps, and rewards that are ready but not yet redeemed. This cannot be undone. If you sign up again later, you start from zero.
6.10 Problems with a shop
If a shop does not honor a reward, birthday gift or promotion, or you think a stamp is missing, please raise it with the shop first. If that does not resolve it, contact us at [email protected] with the shop's name, the date and what happened. We will look into it and can share the relevant stamp and redemption records with you and the shop, but we cannot compel a shop to provide a reward and we do not compensate for rewards a shop fails to provide.
7. Shops on Cordi
Every shop on Cordi has agreed to our Business Terms. Among other things, shops agree to:
- describe their loyalty card, birthday gift and promotions accurately, and honor them for Customers who legitimately earn them;
- keep their Cordi NFC tag and QR code on display at the shop whenever they are open, and replace them if they are misused;
- give their customers notice, and honor rewards that are already ready, before removing a reward, making their card harder to complete, or leaving Cordi;
- follow the law on advertising, including restrictions on promoting products such as alcohol or tobacco; and
- use the limited information they can see about their customers (Privacy Policy, Section 4) only to run their loyalty program, and not to identify or contact you outside Cordi.
If you think a shop is not keeping to these commitments, tell us (Section 6.10). We may hide or remove a shop that does not.
Part C — General
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics and the Cordi name and logo, is owned by Morodo Limited or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute or commercially exploit any part of the Service without our written permission, except as permitted by law.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on, and links to, services we do not control, such as the Apple App Store and Google Play, map providers, and shops' own websites. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
10. Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep the Service running smoothly, but it is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free — for example, collecting a stamp needs a working internet connection. We may update, change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service, for example to improve it, fix problems, or for security or legal reasons. If a change significantly affects you, we will give you reasonable notice where we can.
11. Suspension and termination
11.1 By you
You can stop using the Service at any time, and delete your account as described in Section 6.9.
11.2 By us
We may suspend your account, cancel or remove stamps, rewards or birthday-gift claims that were not genuinely earned, or close your account, if we reasonably believe that:
- you have breached these Terms, including Section 4;
- you have committed or attempted fraud, or given false or misleading information; or
- we must do so to comply with the law or to protect other users, shops or the Service.
Where appropriate, we will tell you the reason and give you an opportunity to respond before we act, unless doing so would be unlawful or would undermine an investigation into fraud or a security risk. We may also end the Service as a whole, or your access to it, for any other reason by giving you at least 30 days' notice.
12. Our liability
12.1 Your consumer rights
If you are a consumer, you have statutory rights, including under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, and nothing in these Terms affects them. For advice about your rights, contact Citizens Advice. If you live outside the UK, nothing in these Terms affects the rights you have under the consumer law of the country where you live.
Cordi is free for Customers, and rewards are provided by shops (Section 6.1). We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, for a shop's failure to honor its own rewards or offers, or for any business losses (the app is for personal use).
12.2 For everyone
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as failures of internet, network or hosting providers.
13. Complaints and support
If you have a question or complaint about the Service, email us at [email protected]. For problems with a shop's reward or offer, see Section 6.10.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the Service or the law. If we make a material change, we will tell you before it takes effect (for example with an in-app notice) and update the "Last updated" date above. If you do not agree to the change, you can stop using the Service and delete your account before it takes effect. If you continue to use the Service after that, the updated Terms will apply to you.
15. General
- Transfer. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation, for example if our business is sold; we will tell you if this happens, and it will not reduce your rights. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms.
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
- Severability. If a court finds part of these Terms invalid, the rest stays in effect.
- No waiver. If we delay or do not enforce any part of these Terms, we can still enforce it later.
- Third parties. These Terms are between you and us; nobody else has any right to enforce them.
- Shops are independent. Shops are independent businesses, not our agents or partners.
- Notices. We may contact you by email at the address on your account or by an in-app notice. You can contact us at the email address in Section 17.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a Customer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
If you live outside the UK, you can also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live, and any mandatory consumer law of that country still applies to you.
